On Saturday, August 19th 2022 we held our first ever Opening Day Ceremony Presented by Spark Performance and PhysioTherapy and it was huge success.
We had an estimated 300 players in attendance and more than 500 in the stands to cheer on the AYSO United players as they get ready to launch the 2022-2023 campaign.
The program started off with a fantastic performance by the Williams Field High School Cheerleading Team who go the crowd fired up with dances, stunts, flips and jumps. It was then followed up by the introduction of our event and corporate sponsors, and our AYSO United AZ professional staff.
The main event was the introduction of all of our coaches and of course each of our amazing players.
The final part of the program was the introduction of all of our ODP pool players, our past and current Coach of the Year winners, our ID64 recipients and our 2021-2022 Player of the Year winners.
A big part of this event was the collection of hundreds of soccer related items to donate to the kids in Ukraine, as well as cash donations which will be used to pay the shipping costs. (We will be going through the items and then get them shipped in the coming weeks).
We know that many of you in attendance were taking some great photos and we are asking you to share them on this post for all to enjoy.
We did this event because we believe everyone who is a part of our club is special and deserves a night where they can be celebrated by all. This is one more way we are “Building a Better Club in Arizona.”
