AYSO United Kicks off in Southern California
As the AYSO United Club program is enjoying success around the country, Southern California’s clubs begin their tryout season in hope of producing some of the top teams.
With the support of the local Regions, each United program will be holding tryouts for all players that want to be part of the new AYSO club program. The club tryouts are open to all AYSO and non-AYSO players who want to be part of a program that places the players experience and developmental needs first.
“The United program could not have come at a better time for our family, we love AYSO and all it stands for and to have an AYSO Club program that allows every child to play and not sit on the bench is just what club soccer needs,” said Linda an AYSO parent.)
At each tryout the Directors of Coaching and his/her professional coaching team will evaluate the players based on three key factors, their Technical ability, Tactical understanding and their Positive attitude to coaching.
“This past weekend we had over 200 players attending tryouts with many AYSO players looking to make the jump to AYSO United. If a coach finds that a player is not quite ready for the United program, the parents are told which level fits their child’s skill set. AYSO also has both the Extra and Core programs that meet the needs of all players,” said Tom Lancaster the Central Director of Coaching.
The Central program is based in Chino, Calif., however the club is supported by all Regions in AYSO Area 1B with players representing all regions and some coming from other organizations.
Tom and his professional staff which consist of USSF licensed coaches with years of club experience independently evaluate each player to ensure that every player has the same opportunity to make a United team.
The United goal is to allow players to play at all levels while staying part of the AYSO family. Check your locations web page to find the tryouts dates.
